Anamata offers you a unique opportunity to learn effective social work practice within whanau, hapu and iwi. As a Maori practitioner, you will develop your own practice model, within a Maori conceptual framework, for working with individuals, whanau and their communities.
Mauriora, a term used by Maori for defining wellbeing or wellness, is the underpinning philosophy of this course. It provides the basis for a wholistic approach to whanau or family wellbeing taught and experienced at Anamata.
