Suicide Intervention and Prevention Training 2010
Learn to recognise, respond to suicide risk factors and signs of distress in a person by enrolling onto the Anamata Suicide Intervention and Prevention course.

A past graduate Natana Taare, Ngati Porou Hauora, had this to say "On a personal and professional level, (the) impact has been absolutely empowering.  The training has increased my knowledge base and confidence in how I practise."

Twenty spaces are available on the Suicide Intervention and Prevention Level 6, NZQA recognised qualification.  This free training is designed to enhance the practise of Maori Hauora practitioners, Social Service workforce or practitioners working in Maori communities in the Western Bay of Plenty district.

The training will start on 6 July 2010 and be delivered at three day monthly workshops over a one month term in Mount Maunganui.
